We carry a dedicated transport ventilator and enough oxygen for long transfers, with reserve cylinders on board. The paramedic confirms settings with the treating ICU team before moving the patient and watches ventilation and oxygen levels continuously.

For patients on non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP), we can continue support during the transfer so the patient does not have to be taken off the machine for the ride.

Ventilator transfers need planning. Call as early as possible with the hospital name, current settings and destination, and we will confirm vehicle availability and a fixed fare before dispatch.
